A 99.9% caffeine-free single origin which is clean and bright, with medium body and mild, citrus acidity. It is sweet and very well balanced.
The coffee beans are grown in the Sierra Madre mountains in the Chiapas region of Mexico, processed using a washed method producing a higher acidity and a cleaner, crisp taste.
What is the Mountain Water Decaf Process?
Mountain Water Decaf process uses clear, pure water from the glaciers and highest mountain in Mexico (Pico de Orizaba). In the decaffeination process, the green coffee beans are immersed in water to extract the coffee oils and caffeine. The water is filtered to remove the caffeine and the water which contains the coffee oil and elements of flavour so that during the extraction the beans maintain their original composition.
