Kenya (Kirinyaga)

Grind Type

The Kirinyaga district is located in South Kenya, its name originating from the language of the local Kikuyu people, meaning “The crest of whiteness”.  Kirinyaga is uniquely positioned with high altitude and rich, fertile soil generated from the volcanic activity of Mount Kenya. Kenya (Kirinyaga) coffee was farmed by small-holder cooperatives Baragwi, Kabare and Rung’Eto with our partners at Interamerican coffee, to create this blossoming botanical flavour profile of hibiscus flower and red berry, with hints of dark chocolate.

Kirinyaga, Central Region, South Kenya

Coffee tasting notes:

Dark Chocolate, Guava, Hibiscus, Raspberry
