We focus our attention to Rwanda in the Domenic Republic of Congo where women are traditionally considered less valuable than men, merely an instrument of sexual satisfaction and a producer of children. Aceh is well known for producing one of the most remarkable Sumatran coffees in the world. This lot of Aceh coffee is sourced by Aliong that run SariMakmur dry mills in Aceh; which consists of approximately 5,000 small farmers. Wet hulled “Giling Basah” is traditional coffee processing method only done in Sumatra. As part of Corporate Social Responsibility, SariMakmur has been working with farmers’ education through this facility for proper crop management to increase production yield hence better welfare for farmers.
